Post: Conference Producer/Conference Project Manager

As an experienced conference producer you will already possess the following skills:
- Excellent telephone and desktop research skills
- Ability to analyse and assimilate a high level of information quickly and accurately
- Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Sustained speaker relationship management
- Proactive involvement with your immediate team and other departments including marketing, sponsorship, sales and event logistics team
- A high level of spoken and written English (this role involves a great deal of copywriting)
- The ability to “go the extra mile” in order to differentiate your product from others in the market
Job specification:
- Produce and run 10 conferences per year and manage the development of allocated brands and areas of experience
- Take responsibility for the overall intellectual content and design of conference programme
- Responsible for initiating new contacts and ideas for conference programmes
- Manage your own profitability budget
- Work alongside your marketing manager in order to drive the marketing campaign in the right direction
- Identify new, relevant leads for your sponsorship account manager
- Keep abreast of venue requirements and work with your event manager to ensure venue contracts are negotiated accordingly
- Thoroughly brief your delegate sales executive once your conference has been produced
- Responsible for all copywriting for conference brochures, event websites, sales letters, pre-mailers, and email campaigns

These are two day, high-level business forums that bring together highly qualified, senior decision makers from leading organisations and technology solution providers to discuss key industry issues, business strategy and mutually beneficial solutions. They are designed to fast-track critical technology business strategies.
Our client base comes from our heritage, referrals and proactively sourcing new contacts in the marketplace. Due to the success of our Connect forums, we continuously benefit from significantly high levels of repeat business and recommendations from both sponsors and delegates.
Sponsorship Sales Manager:
Each Connect Sponsorship Sales Manager has individual and team objectives and accountability. They build and enjoy strong, long-term relationships with our sponsors through our unique product offering and a strategic, outsourced approach.
Candidate's Profile:
You need at least one year’s sales experience from any sector with excellent consultative business development, commercial acumen, sales management, face-to-face and telephone selling. You will need the classic skills of building and converting sales through internet research, chasing industry media leads and a high level of telesales. The ideal candidate is an exceptional salesperson looking for extra responsibility and the opportunity to really make an impact. The role offers a good basic salary and OTE of £50-80k. Promotional opportunities available in the future.
